Abstract

Lung cancer is the most frequent cancer globally in terms of both incidence and mortality, with the highest rates found in Europe and North America. The age group with a history of smoking who is older than 50 is most likely to acquire lung cancer. There are 2 main forms of lung cancer: NSCLC (85% of patients) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC) (15%). It has been proposed that the immune system contributes to the pathophysiology of lung cancer, particularly in cases when immune surveillance is compromised. "Immunoediting" is the mechanism by which cancer cells evade the immune system. In addition to suppressing the immune response, EGFR mutations play a critical role in the progression of lung cancer. Nerium oleander L. is a significant traditional Chinese medicine. This attractive plant is grown vegetatively and is prized for its colorful terminal flower clusters and evergreen leaves. Anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticancer, antinocicep-tive, and central nervous system depressive properties are significant pharmacological actions. The objective of the current investigation is to determine whether the chemical composition of Nerium oleander L. can suppress the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) in order to prevent non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) therefore, we employed a computational screening approach encompassing molecular docking, ADMET prediction to find the best active compound in Nerium oleander L. extract.
