Abstract
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disorder known as the primary cause of dementia that is rapidly rising to the top of the list of diseases in this twentieth century in terms of cost, mortality, and impact. Two primary pathogenic alterations in the brain are associated with AD: extracellular amyloid protein deposits with dystrophic neurites that form senile plaques and intracellular protein deposits known as neurofibrillary tangles (NFT). production of β-amyloid (Aβ) occurs within the cell when the secretase enzyme catalyst cleaves the amyloid precursor protein (APP). Aβ is created at the plasma membrane by the action of β and γ secretase on mature APP. Since γ-secretases are in the position of releasing Aβ from the intracellular region of APP, an extensive amount of research has been done on medications that can only partially minimize the activity of this enzyme. In this regard, we employed a computational screening approach encompassing molecular docking, ADMET prediction to find the best active compound in Juglans regia L. pollen extract that has the ability to effect γ secretase for Preventing β -amyloid generation.
